Excellent quality, every now and then they give you the day-old pasta

These beautiful humans are one of the many reasons we love to travel. This became our go-to place in Bologna, and we looked forward to seeing them every day. Their friendly greetings, warm smiles, and outstanding coffee made every visit special. By the end of our stay, we didn’t even have to order—they knew exactly what we wanted! They are very much a part of why we love Bologna. We will miss seeing them and will think of them every time we think about our wonderful time in this beautiful city. Grazie mille!

An extremely disappointing experience, and the main reason was the behavior of an elderly staff member. In a business that serves customers, I would expect at least politeness, helpfulness, and a modicum of smile. Instead, I found myself faced with someone I perceived as constantly annoyed by the presence of customers. Her answers were curt, her tone arrogant, and her attitude clearly conveyed little desire to interact with the person in front of her. Walking into a place and feeling like an outcast isn't exactly what you expect when paying for service. What I found even more unpleasant was the difference in her attitude toward regular customers. With some people, she seemed to completely transform: more cheerful, helpful, and friendly. With others, however, she didn't even seem to have the patience to respond. If a customer is treated differently based on how well they know each other, I believe there's a serious professionalism issue. And unfortunately, it wasn't just the service that disappointed me. I found the pastries awful, and my coffee was served burnt. I also noticed that the machine didn't seem to be properly bled between coffees. For a pastry shop, these are details that make a huge difference. What leaves me most perplexed is how a place can have such a high reputation and then offer such an experience. Fame cannot replace quality, and above all, it cannot justify rudeness. I would give the elderly staff member a very simple piece of advice: if you work in contact with the public, respect and politeness must be extended to everyone, not just those you know. A customer should never feel like a bother. And I advise the team to seriously consider the way they welcome customers, not just the quality of the products. Because a good coffee can be improved, a croissant can be remade, but a customer treated badly is unlikely to forget the experience. As far as I'm concerned, money wasted and I have no intention of returning.

A hidden gem in Bologna. I was so happy to stumble upon this lovely place that felt truly authentic, stepping into a day in the life of a person living in Bologna. The baristas are so elegant, I love the clinking sounds and steam of the coffee machine and the pastries are out of this world
